More understated and perhaps a little more refined than its multicoloured brethren, this hand painted papier mache table lamp from Kashmir is an absolute delight.
Using only black, white and gold paint, the Kashmiri artisans create magical and mesmerising patterns on these lamps with suggestions of poppies, oriental arches and windswept pollen.
Is it just me or is there something peculiarly "christmassy" about these lamps?
I think they'd make the ideal Christmas present or indeed for any other celebration.
